2021 Breeders' Cup Results & Recap of Picks
Congrats to Knicks Go in Winning the Classic!
and to Trainer Brad Cox
Knicks Go (3-1) won the race by leading from start to finish easily beating the Kentuck Derby winner Medina Spirit (7-1) by 2 3/4 lengths in a time of 1:59.57 for the 1 !/4 Mile distance. The $6 Million Classic win was Knicks Go's 5th Grade 1 victory which will no doubt lead to him winning the Eclipse Award for Hors-of-the-Year and/or Best Older horse-of-the-year!.
The victory gave trainer Brad Cox his first Breeders' Cup Classic win and his 8th overall. Jockey Joel Rosario picked up his 15th Breeders' Cup win! Knicks Go became the 6th horse to win two different Breeders' Cup Divisions as he won the Dirt Mile last year at Keeneland. Golden Pal also accomplished this same feat when winning the Turf Sprint Division earlier in the day.

Our Breeders' Cup Picks Results:
The Classic Division turned out exactly how we handicapped the race. Flightline was without a doubt going to win the race. It was only a question by how much!
The only way to make money on this race was to correctly pick the Superfecta and maybe make a little on the Trifecta.
Our wagering strategy was to single Flightline over the Field in 2nd and 3rd with the Kentucky Derby winner Rich Strike to finish in 4th to complete the Superfecta. That is exactly what happened and paid us back $691 for a $1 wager that cost us just $30.
We felt that either Life is Good or Taiba would go for the lead out of the gate and make Flightline run quicker early more than in most of his races for a longer distance and that would give Rich Strike (25-1) the opportunity to make up ground on the Field and hit the bottom of the Superfecta.

Breeders' Cup Day 1 is in the Books!
It was an exciting day of Championship horse racing with a good mix of Longshots and Favorites winning in the 5 Divisions.
Friday was the kickoff to the two days of World Championship racing being held for just the second time in the history of the Breeders' Cup at the Del Mar track in S. California.
Corniche (3/2) favorite went wire-to-wire from the outside post number 11 holding off the challenge of Pappacap (15-1) to prevail by 1 3/4 lengths.
It was trainer Bob Baffert's 5th win in the Juvenile Division and it was jockey Mike Smith's record setting 27th Breeders' Cup win!
Corniche remains undefeated in three career stars as he won his 2nd Grade 1 race,
It was another 1 1/2 lengths back to Giant Game (22-1) in third who finished 2 1/2 lengths in front of Commandperformance (3-1) in fourth place. The $1 Trifecta paid $538.70.
Corniche was NOT awarded the usual 20 Kentucky Derby Points as his trainer Baffert has been suspended for 2 years in participating in the 1st Leg of the Triple Crown series due to his violation of drug usage in last year's Derby winner Medina Spirit.
Will Corniche owners find another trainer so that they can run in the 2022 Kentucky Derby?
